I finally had a chance to meet with my friend who teaches Coptic at a nearby church.  He confirms that there is a family that communicates and prays in Coptic in el Minya.  This is the family of Bishop Δημήτριος.  You may know him.

God bless you,

Andrew

I see
he is the bishop of mallawy and ensena and el ashmoniien
Yes, I know him
he is from the same family that is in Alex
they are not native speakers, the father of their grandfathers (the founder of the family) was very enthused about the new pronunciation that he decided to use it at home
therefore his children learned it and a new "coptic speaker" family was born
so unlucky that the native families are gone
