Hello,

Is there a dictionary or collection of Coptic phrases and idioms for everyday use somewhere? And/or a collection of Coptic words for modern things like car, computer etc.

comparisons doesn't exist in coptic, instead u need to use one of this methods

there is also ϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲉ which means more than
ⲙⲙⲟⲛ ϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲉⲧⲓⲟⲩ ˋⲛⲱⲓⲕ ˋⲛⲧⲟⲧⲉⲛ (no more than 5 bread we have) [we have no more than 5 breads)
ⲁϥⲉⲛ ϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲟⲩⲧⲁϩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ he(it) brought more fruits
ⲥⲉⲛⲁϭⲓ ˋⲛϩⲟⲩⲟ they will take more

(I think we should create a dictionary/guide of all these sayings as a sort of guide to spoken Coptic.) One of the biggest obstacles in the way of Coptic becoming a spoken language is the lack of resources out there.

Btw I was looking through a dictionary and I found the verb ϩⲉⲙⲓ which means 'to guide/steer'. I think that would work well for driving a car.
