Add Coptic entry to Unicode page (I18nguy)
« on: 13 June , 2006, 06:09:40 AM »
At the page
http://www.i18nguy.com/unicode-example.html
one can see sample text in different languages/scripts.

It would be cool to provide an entry with Coptic.
You need to write in Coptic
  • the country name (Egypt?)
  • the name of a famous person (singer, historical figure, etc)

then send as e-mail to the e-mail address at the end of the URL above.

The text has to be in Unicode. If you need help in writing in Unicode, post here.

I don't know any singer from the Coptic ages :(
nor even king (because during the Coptic ages Egypt was conquered by Greek then Roman then Arab)
Do you think this website will accept Saint name , Angle name  or such ?  :8O:

It could be a modern person with the name written in Coptic. A small affinity to the Coptic language would be good to have.
I believe you would want to add a name like Avva Shenouda. That would be perfectly acceptable as well.
