A Greek Papyrus in Armenian Script found in Egypt
« on: 19 October , 2021, 01:44:07 PM »
ⲛⲟϥⲣⲓ,

An ancient Greek papyrus discovered in Hellenic Egypt (~400AD). The papyrus is currently at La Bibliotheque nationale de France, and is written in Armenian script. One can deduce from it how Greek was pronounced at that time. And as you can see in the tweet below, the Greek 'b' was not pronounced as 'v' at this time.
