The current flagship product is the dictionary, I guess: http://remnqymi.com/crum/.

Wow this is beyond incredible!!
How did you digitalize and format all these dictionaries? I presume it was huge group effort

The current flagship product is the dictionary, I guess: http://remnqymi.com/crum/.

Ahhhh!!! Finally, I have been wanting this for so long. I can now look up any form, unlike the CDO that allows only the main Sahidic entry to be found

ϫⲛⲉ is what I can find now, while https://coptic-dictionary.org/results.py?coptic=%CF%AB%E2%B2%9B%E2%B2%89&dialect=any&pos=any&definition=&def_search_type=exact+sequence&lang=any gives me only one verb, whereas the Bohairic ϭⲉⲛⲟ is the intended meaning

This is a thousand times better than the CDO! And it also doesn't contain spelling errors, such as 'ague' for ⲥⲓⲕ - likely they had some French student help fill in their dictionary manually. I have pointed out these errors but they just don't seem to want to fix them

[ETA: I am wrong, as it turns out. 'Ague' is in Crum, and likely caused by him being a German and having always written 'ache' the wrong way.
What I had in mind was ⲁⲣⲟϣ, which is correctly translated in Crum yet wrongly by CDO: "(En.) fiever (ague)" - I just looked for 'ague' in the CDO and picked the second occurrence instead of the first.
Funny. 'Occurance' also is an English misspelling that occurs among Germans, yet Westendorf 488 only has 'Fieber' which is correct, and neither does Cherix 2023 page 4 have 'ague'. Ah well]

Anyway, yes this most certainly is the flagship! Do you mind me making some advertising for it?

Hi,

I am glad to hear the positive feedback.

Let me answer your questions below:

- Please feel free to advertise it. That would actually be very helpful to me.

- Digitalization (manual data collection) of the main dictionary was mostly done by Milan Konvicka, creator of marcion.sourceforge.net, a long time ago. I designed the integration pipeline, and the website. The code, and source data, live at http://github.com/pishoyg/coptic/, in case you want to take a look.

I am looking for contributors. If you're interested, feel free to reach out at remnqymi@gmail.com.

First a quick note:
I'd advice not to post your email in public or you might start getting spam.if you must, maybe write something like: my_email _at_ example.com but its totally up to you.
Regarding the project, is there certain area of the project that you'd like to improve upon?

Regarding my plans for the project, I have a huge backlog for the current product (the dictionary)[1].

The major upcoming milestones are:
- The Coptic Bible, with a built-in dictionary, so you can click on a word while reading and see its definition (something like this[2], but on the website, not necessarily Kindle).
- A keyboard layout, to be adopted natively by major OS's, so users don't need to download a keyboard in order to type Coptic on their devices. I started drafting a proposal[3], but I shelved it in favor of the dictionary, and I intend to get back to it at some point.
- A Duolingo-like learning app, to get beginners up to speed (the roadmap for this milestone is still unclear).

If you need configurable online Coptic keyboard to embed into your website, please have a look at this:

https://editor.danacbe.com/

And here is documenation on how to integrate it into your own website (as an iframe or popup)

https://gitlab.com/ramast/coptic_editor (see "Embedding Editor into different website" section)
