Dr Kamal Farid Ishaq proposes that the word should have been ⲉⲗⲕⲥⲙⲏ from ⲱⲗⲕ + ⲥⲙⲏ to mean bend-voice
This brings back the focus to the voice, the main difficulty is that ⲱⲗⲕ, ⲉⲗⲕ— is a verb, but in this instance it is treated as a noun. It is an interesting approach to interpreting a word
