Hello,

I tried Marcion and like it.  However, I'm curious as to what's up with the logo?  I ask because I'm curious as to the meaning behind the symbols there.

Hi, this is spiritual symbol based primarily on the Apocruphon of John, reflecting fight of light against darkness. Outer circle is the indestructible deity, outer pentagram is five shinings of Perfect Human - Pronoia, Prognosis, Aletheia, Aftarsia, Zoe. Inner pentagram is the Son of Man, inverted cross is true metanoia, metastrepsis - repentance. dragon is ignorant god of darkness, creator of ths world, Ialdabaoth. pearl is soul of light, for which Son of Man and Ialdabaoth are in war.

Thank you for your explanation Vagrant.

I figured I was looking at something there possibly symbolic of gnosticism of some sort or another.  As I mentioned in my post, I like the program.  I don't know if you've noticed, but Mr. Wells took down all his free stuff he went with the commercial Logos software modules.  I don't begrudge him the opportunity to make a financial return off his hard work, however that does reduce resources for the Coptic witness to scripture for those of us with an interest but not the money to shell out over a hundred dollars for the modules not to mention the Logos software itself.

Marcion fills the need right now for those of us of lesser means.  I am very appreciative of its availability.

in whole application is used utf8, in filenames also. in input fields is switch 'tr' or press alt meta T, in popup menu you have conversion functions from/to utf8. where are you missing unicode?

hi, if you want search in library and not only read it, you must build index for each of collections of texts. It can be done through the submenu 'index'. (v. attached screenshots) there you can see state of all texts, just click on item 'show'. use 'create index' and after completion you can search in that collection.
